Olson Florist was established in Salem, Oregon on the corner of Court and High Streets in 1926 by Frosty Olson. Mr. Olson sold it to Kelly Peters in 1952. Kelly ran the flower shop with his wife Betty and his son Kevin. Kevin and his wife Becky took over the business when Kelly and Betty thought about retirement; although Kelly stayed active and supportive of his son and the shop until a few months before his passing early in 2008.

Kevin and Becky Peters were very active in local community groups including the Chamber of Commerce, Salem Executives Association SEA and the flower industry. Kevin is a past president of the Oregon and S.W. Washington Teleflora Unit.

The new owners Maria and Manuel Palacio have been school administrators and active community members. They serve in boards and organizations that support children and families. Maria has a long love and history with flowers, and owning a flower shop has been a long time dream objective that became a reality in May of 2008. Maria and Manuel will continue Olson's tradition of service, quality and beautiful products.

Our shop is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
We are closed on Sunday.

To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least 2 days prior to the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

Olson Florist specializes in a wide variety of floral bouquets that would be perfect for any occasion. Whether your style is contemporary, exotic or traditional we have the designers to create the right gift for you. We have over 100 years combined experience on our design team. We also always have a great selection of flowers, blooming plants, foliage plants, and dish gardens for your needs. Our store uses the "Chain of Life" processing our flowers, so they will last longer and our customers receive greater value!

A local delivery fee of $9.95 - $20.00 depending on the zip code areas will be added to each order, for each address. For deliveries outside our local delivery area, a delivery & wire fee will be $20.00.
U.S. orders must be received before 1:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to help assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day.
We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at a specific time of day, but we cannot guarantee it.
We are unable to make deliveries on Sunday. Orders requesting delivery on this day will be delivered the following business day.
Deliveries of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed. We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. We are unable to accept international orders over the internet.

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
